Minister Dorothy C. Emanuel Smith, 72, of Bunnell, peacefully entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at AdventHealth Palm Coast. A native of St. Augustine, she was the daughter of James and Hazel Emmanuel, born on Tuesday, December 21, 1948.  She was educated in the Flagler County School District and a graduate of Carver High School. She was united in holy matrimony to Elder Wilbert Smith. She served as a faithful member at the Tree of Life Evangelistic Pentecostal Church, Palatka, under the leadership of Apostle S. D. James & Pastor Dorothy J. Moody. Dorothy was a retired school bus driver from the Flagler County School District following 30 years of exemplary service. She was also employed as a CNA at Flagler Pines Rehabilitation Center for 10 years. Dorothy loved the Lord, served Him faithfully and enjoyed going to church. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by sisters, Maggie Emanuel, Mary Alice Adams, Elizabeth Emanuel, Audrey Mack; brothers, Robert Lee Emanuel, James Emanuel, Jr., William Emanuel.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  sons and daughters , Johnny Emanuel, Bunnell; Delois Jones, Espanola; Hazel Jones, Palm Coast; Erick Baber, Crescent City; brothers , Johnny Lee Emanuel, Freddie Lee Emanuel, both of Bunnell; Eric Emanuel, Daytona Beach; aunt , Overseer Elder Pauline Mitchell; 16 grandchildren; stepsons, Willard Eugene (Annette) Smith, Rev. Karl (Terricena) Flagg, Rev. John (Athlyn) Flagg, Jr.; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly and whom loved her.

(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends will be 1-2 p.m., Saturday, August 14 with Homegoing Celebration at 2 p.m. at Church on the Rock, 2200 N. State Street (U.S. 1), Bunnell. Pastor Alice Emanuel, House of Joy Ministries, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.
