Dorothy P. Lewis, 68, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at HCA FL Putnam Hospital.

Dorothy Jean "Dot" Lewis, the daughter of Vance Eugene and Lurene (Phillips) Perry, was born on Monday, December 19, 1955 in Brunswick, Georgia. She was educated in the Putnam County School District, and obtained her Early Childhood Certification from St. Johns Community College. "Dot" was a member of Abundant Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Chad Willis and previously a member of St. Joseph Primitive Baptist Church. Through the years she was employed by Holiday Inn, Child Care Services and the Putnam County School District. She enjoyed cooking, babysitting, reading, and solving word puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her siblings, Jonathan Perry, Dale Perry, Alice Perry, Lottie Ann Phillips; nieces, Nyeisha Perry, Latasha Brown; nephew, Amos Perry, Jr.; son, Frank Mallard; daughter, Elizabeth Mallard.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Marvin Lewis, Sr.; son, Marvin (Chantal) Lewis, Jr.,; daughters, Sandra Mallard, Monica (Timmie) Lewis-Bryson; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Vance (Terresa) Perry, Amos Perry, Lonnie E. Perry, Douglas (Kelly) Perry, Gregory (Paula) Grant; sister, Michelle Williams; goddaughters, Tiffany Poole, Gianna Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.
