Dorothy Lee Jackson Jones, 71, of Bunnell, entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Florida Hospital, Stuart F. Meyer Hospice Care Center, Palm Coast. The daughter of Melvin and Cora Lee (Montgomery) Jackson, she was born on Thursday, April 18, 1946 in Madison, GA. She was educated in the Flagler County School District. Dorothy was a seamstress at a sewing factory for many years. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and gardening, and especially loved spending time with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in eternal rest by her sons, Curtis Jones, Michael Randy Jones; brothers, Obie Lee Jackson, Willie C. Jackson, Melvin Jackson, Jr., Freddie L. Jackson.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 19 and Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 108 Knox Jones Road, Bunnell (Espanola), Reverend Frank Giddens, Sr., Pastor. Reverend Michael McKay, pastor of Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Palatka, is the eulogist.
