Dorotheia Marie Lewis, 64, of Palatka, peacefully entered the sunset of life on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. The daughter of Levis A. Lewis Roberts and Charles D. Whitfield, she was born on Saturday, August 30, 1958 in Palatka.  She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1977 graduate of Palatka South High School. Dorotheia was a member of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church. She was employed with Georgia Pacific, retiring in 2013.  She also worked with The ARC of Putnam County. "Dot" enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Dorotheia was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters, Princess Yvette Whitfield and Yvonne Minors; brothers, Lawrence Roberts and Charles A. Whitfield.

She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted daughter and son, Latoya (Sheldon) Smith, Winter Park; Diamond Lewis, Palatka; 2 grandchildren, Kiahra Maxwell, Orlando; Destiny Foster, Altamonte Springs; 2 brothers, Dale Whitfield & Reginald Whitfield, both of Palatka; 6 sisters, Eva Brown, Victoria Grant & Pamela Whitfield, Willagene Gibbs, all of Palatka; Carolyn Johnson, Orlando; Paula Chisolm, Sebring; and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 4-6 p.m., Friday, June 9 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Dorotheia's Life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 10 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Pastor & Eulogist.
