Donterius Rodriquez Fells, 21, of Tampa, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon. A native of Palatka, Donterius was the son of Latima Williams and Rodney Fells, born on Sunday, May 25, 1997. Donterius was educated in the Putnam County School District and attended Palatka High School. He subsequently relocated to Hillsborough County and was a 2015 Honor Graduate (4.7GPA) of Armwood High School, Tampa. Donterius was a member of the Florida Army National Guard where he served as a Chaplain's Assistant. He was presently pursuing an Associate in Arts degree in Psychology at Hillsborough Community College and anticipated graduating in December 2019. Donterius was a member of Every Walk of Life Church in Riverview, Florida. Donterius had a life full of love, with a smile so bright and a laugh so loud, he continued daily to make his mother proud. He faced many challenges but not alone and never backed down! Now, mama's baby has gained his crown and gone on home.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Hunter; maternal grandfather, Anthony Robinson, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, Jimmie Lee and Nola Williams; paternal great-grandparents, Myles Hunter, Eugene and Claudia Fells; maternal aunts and uncles, Hattie Williams Jones, Janice Williams, Jimmie C Williams and Larry Williams.
He leaves to cherish his joyful and love filled memories: daughter (his heart), Nevaeh Fells; loving and caring mother and father, Latima and Dante Miller, Riverview; father, Rodney Fells, Palatka; siblings, Decorius (Indira) Fells, United States Army, Fort Drum, NY; Darrius Fells, Corte Miller, Daniyah Fells, Dominique Miller, all of Tampa; Pashun Smith, Palatka; grandparents, Cathy Lee, Jessie Lee, Warren Fells, Eddie Walker, Jr. and Lori Walker, Sylvester and Vicki Miller, all of Palatka; great-grandparents, Mary Addison, Eddie Walker, Sr., Mattie Evans and Lillie Manning all of Palatka; nieces, Mia Renee Fells, Fort Drum, NY; Ry'ley Mason, A'Zina Mason, both of Palatka; godparents, Daryl and Alicia Newton; and of host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, March 1st, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Donterius' Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2nd, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Pastor Tony Peterson, Every Walk of Life Church, Riverview, FL, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
