Donnelle Javon "Don-Don" Golphin, Sr., 33, of Holly Hill, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his residence. The son of Donnie J. McCaskell and Ethel "Cleo" Sweet, he was born on Wednesday, December 21, 1983 in Daytona Beach. He was educated in the Flagler and Volusia County School Districts. He was a 2003 graduate of Mainland High School and pursued higher education at Alabama State University and Bethune-Cookman University. He was of the Christian faith.
Donnelle was a fiberglass laminator at Sea-Ray Boats, Palm Coast plant. He enjoyed playing football, fishing, building model cars and especially loved to spend time with his family whom he treasured. "Don-Don" had a smile that would even light up the darkest room.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his maternal great-grandmother, Ethel Golphin; maternal grandparents, Leavitis and Luvon Golphin, Sr.; and paternal grandfather, Johnnie McCaskell, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Ethel "Cleo" Sweet, Atlanta, GA; father, Donnie J. McCaskell, Bunnell; significant other, Shantella "Shante" Jones, Holly Hill; sons and daughter, Donnelle Javon Golphin, Jr., Denali Ayden Golphin, Da'zaya Ella Golphin, all of Holly Hill; brothers, Timothy Golphin, Daytona Beach; Anthony "Terrell" Spates, Dubai, India; Willie (Rochelle) Spradley, Palm Coast; Sabree Spradley, Atlanta, GA; Donnie J. McCaskell, Bunnell; sisters, Latronda McCaskell, Palm Coast; Denisha McCaskell, Bunnell; paternal grandmother, Betty J. McCaskell, Bunnell; maternal great-aunt, Eileen Golphin, Atlanta, GA; "like a brother" Lonnie Mobley, Palm Coast; "like sisters" Latonda Taylor, Altamonte Springs; Lonsheca Watson, Palm Coast; special friend, Wayne Williams, Bunnell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 5 at Living Faith Christian Center, 2729 Commerce Boulevard, Suite #703, Bunnell, Pastors Arthur L. & Gwendolyn G. Jackson. A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 6, at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast; Dr. Kevin M. James, Senior Pastor. Pastor Arthur L.
