Dewey Charlie Brown Williams, Jr., 44, of Benson North Carolina (formerly of Pomona Park), entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Smithfield, N.C., due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was educated in the Putnam County School District and attended Crescent City High School. He continued his education at Jacksonville Job Corps and later attended a mechanical school, where he earned certification in diesel mechanics. Dewey is preceded in eternal rest by his Mother, Eva Mae Davis; brother, Terrace Nukkie Davis; Maternal Grandparents, Jack & Martha Eva Simmons, Sr. Paternal Grandparents, Emmit & Willa Huffman. To cherish his memories: Father, Dewey Shack Williams Sr., Pomona Park; Devoted Companion; Pamela Smith, Benson, NC; Sons, Dewey Williams III, Orlando, FL; Christopher Williams, Dre' Quan Williams, Brion Williams, all of Benson, NC; Daughters Breosa Williams, LaShonda Williams, Brianna Williams; all of Benson, N.C.; Brother, Eric Hawkins, Benson, N.C.,; Sisters, Nanette (Jerry) Mahone, Crescent City; Vernesia Williams, Pomona Park; Aunts & Uncles Amos (Leona) Williams; Emmitt (Noreen) Huffman; Jack (Diane) Simmons, all of Webster, FL; Willie Lee (Mamie) Simmons, Sr.; Georgia McDonald, both of Pomona Park ; Willie Mae Addison, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11 am at New Mt. Tamo Missionary Baptist Church, 33 South Railroad Ave., Pomona Park, Pastor Theodore McRae, Eulogist. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 -11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Tamo Baptist Church Cemetery.
