Devry McGyver Nootney Coring, 18, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Friday, April 18, 2008 along with his first-cousin, Anthony Lamar McCaskill as a result of an automobile accident. Devry was born on October 5, 1989 to Mr. & Mrs. Charles Edward & Pauline (McCaskill) Coring II, in Palatka, Florida. He was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka. Devry was educated in the Putnam County School District and attended Palatka High School. He enjoyed playing football and he would often assist his father, Charles, II and his uncle, Anthony McCaskill, Sr., in the masonry business. He was a member of Grace & Truth Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Cora B. Fells, where he participated in the youth choir, youth usher, and numerous other youth ministry activities. His maternal grandfather, E. T. Garrett; and paternal great grandparents, Harvey & Ida Coring preceded him in eternal rest. To cherish his memories: mother, Pauline McCaskill, Palatka; father, Charles Edward Coring, II, Jacksonville; brothers and sisters; Charles E. Coring III, Sylvia E. Coring, Victoria S. McCaskill, Erica D. McCaskill, Robert L. McCaskill, Jasmine T. McCaskill, all of Palatka; Paternal grandparents, Charles E. Coring, Sr., Palatka; Georgia Coring, Clewiston; Maternal grandmother, Mattie Bell Battles, Orange Mills; and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation of family & friends will be 5-8 pm on Friday, April 25th at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Services will be 11 am Saturday, April 26th at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka. Dr. Cora B. Fells, Pastor of Grace & Truth Deliverance Ministries, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka
