Devin Roland Thomas, 21, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Thursday, May 7th at Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville due to injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident. Devin was the son of Annette C. Brown and Timothy Thomas Jr., born December 30, 1987. He was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka educated in the Putnam County School District. At an early age, he became passionate about cars and motorcycles. He was a auto mechanic by trade and worked for various auto repair shops. Devin was preceded in eternal rest by his maternal grandfather, Alfonzo Y. Brown; great grand grandparents, Edwin and Winifred Williams, and Mary Eliza Thomas. To Cherish his memories, beloved daughter, Valissa Thomas, Palatka; Mother, Annette C. Brown, Orlando; Father, Timothy (Lalita) Thomas Jr., Palatka; Sisters, Kelcey Mallory, Orlando; Tiakka Thomas, Palatka; Lauren Smith and Mariah Evans, both of Orlando. Brothers, Timothy Thomas III, Orlando and Tyrius Thomas, Palatka. maternal grandmother, Wanda W. Brown, Palatka; paternal grandparents, Timothy (Pamala) Thomas Sr., Palatka; great grandfather, Henry Thomas, San Mateo; Aunts and Uncles, Nanette McGhee, Terrance (Terri) Singleton, Jacksonville; Tiffany Brown, Alfonzo (Renee) Brown, East Palatka; Alvinia Brown, Tolanda Thomas, Chavarro (Keashia) Thomas, Mark Thomas, all of Palatka; Yvette Thomas, Orlando; Rhonda (Alberto) Jara, San Mateo; Tijarra Thomas, Ft. Stewart, GA; Darius (Cecilia) Jefferson, Tallahassee; Alonzo (Cassandra) Brown, Chicago, IL, William Torrance, McDonough, GA., and a host of great aunts and great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 15 from 5 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. A Celebration of Life will be 11 oclock Saturday, May 16, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Rev. James McGriff, Pastor. Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
