Deviet Labertha Keeley, 8, of Palatka, transitioned into eternity on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Shands at UF Hospital, Gainesville. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, she was born on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. She was a loyal 3rd grade student at William D. Moseley Elementary School who was committed to be in school every day and hated to miss class. She was a very loving girl, quick to give a hug, and was always considerate of others. She wasn't afraid to try something new and was admired for her proper speaking.
She was preceded in eternal rest by her sister, Chantel Word; cousin, Jasmine McGee.
She leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Yvette McGee, Palatka; father, Willie Elmar Keeley, Jr., Palatka; maternal grandparents, Pauline (Daniel) Gibbs, Joe McGee, all of Palatka; paternal grandparents, Christine Young, Satsuma; Willie E. Keeley, Sr., Palatka; 3 brothers, Yvan Moore, Provo, UT; Chatman Word, II; Jacob Keeley, Sister, Williea Keeley, all of Palatka; aunts and uncles, Sophia McGee, Michelle Gibbs, both of Jacksonville; David Gibbs, Billings, MO; Shalawn McGee, Joey (Melba) McGee, Xavier Brown, all of Palatka; Bertha (Benjamin) Myles, Otis McCray, Woodrow Myles, Joseph Bush, all of Satsuma; Nekevia Bush, Marvin Davis, Kemo Chester, Clifford (Shaffiara) Davis, all of Palatka; and a host of great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A visitation of remembrance for family and friends will be from 3-7 p.m., Saturday, December 23rd at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity."
