Derrall Glenn Whaley, Jr., 24, of Smyrna GA, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Kennesaw Hospital in Marietta, GA.   A native of Jacksonville, he was educated in the Cobb County GA School District and had ambitions to serve in the U.S. Navy. He was a skilled electronics technician and his hobbies included video games and reading books. He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Derrall & Dr. Reda Coston Whaley; godfather , Paul Zimmerman, all of Smyrna, GA; maternal grandparents , Audria (Aldosia) Sails, Jacksonville; brother, James Whaley; sister , Dadelaya Whaley; aunts & uncles , Linda (John) Young, Beverly Johnson, Sammy (Kim) Bailey, Anita Davenport, Shirley Whaley Thacker, Charlene Whaley Hammond, Tina Whaley Mann, Cathy Whaley; countless cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 9-11 a.m., Friday, June 8, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11 a.m. at Soldiers for Christ All Denomination Church, 301 Druid Street, Jacksonville, FL. Pastor Arthur Mealer, III, officiating. Interment will be Saturday, June 9 ^th in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
