Denise Lavette Barrs Pastely, 48, native and lifelong resident of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The daughter of Willie Barrs and Yvonne Denise Lane, she was born on Friday, March 13. 1970. "Peaches" as she was affectionately known, was a 1989 graduate of Crescent City High School. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her grandmother, Lillian Ward Johnson, aunt, Vernell Fulton, uncles, Sip and Isaac Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, James Pastely, Salisbury, MD ; great-aunt, Shirley Ward, Leesburg; aunts, Addie Mae (John "Buck") Addison, Crescent City; Rose Johnson, Inverness ; honorable aunts , Mahalia (Lewis "Joe") Johnson, Seville, Maria Maddox, Seville; Carole ("Kal") Reeves, Deland; uncles , Robert (Lucille "Marilyn") Johnson, Clarence "Buffalo" Fulton, both of Crescent City; special Cousin , Gloria Williams, Gainesville, cousin/caregiver , Genora (Marion) Brantley, Crescent City; Latashia Reeves-White, Seville, Steve Williams, Samuel Bogan, Jr., Daytona, Dion (Marya) Johnson, Houston, TX, Robert Johnson, Jr., Miami, Roshad Addison, Calvin Johnson, Paris Johnson, Crescent City; devoted friends, Kathleen and Nathan Sharper; and a host of other relatives and friends.
