Demontra Wilford, of Palatka, 1 year old infant son of Bobby and ShanTrevia Wilford, entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville. A native of Palatka, he was born on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Putnam Community Medical Center. He attended the Church of Recovery Ministry with his family. He was enrolled in Love Care Day Care Learning Center and formerly Kings Family Day Care. Demontra enjoyed food and his favorite cartoon characters were Diego and SpongeBob SquarePants. He was preceded in eternal rest by his great grandmother; Lugene Colson Word; great-great grandparents, Stanfield (Alma) Colson and Lola Bell Robinson.

In addition to his beloved parents, Demontra is loved and cherished by: two brothers, TyShawn Wilford, Kevin Wilford; grandparents, Denese (Lewis) Jones, Cheran Passmore Wilford, and Gregory Hall, all of Palatka; Bobby Wilford, Sr., Sanford; great-grandparents, Marion (John) Cobb, Pastor Rutha Murray, Pastor Rena Williams, Catherine Harley, Clarence Goat Hall Jr., all of Palatka; great-great grandmother, Bessie Mack, Palatka; aunts and uncles, Katrina (George) Ford, Barbara Ann Wilford, Jarimy (Misty) Passmore, Marvin Passmore, Leroy Owens, Jr., Dominic Owens, Reche Williams, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Celebration of Demontras life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at the Palatka Church of God by Faith, 1511 Washington Street, Palatka, Elder Phillip Thomas, Pastor, presiding. Co-Pastor Isaac Brinson, of the Church of Recovery Ministry, is the eulogist.
