Demetri JaRon "Meach" Blount, 28, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Starke. The son of Freddie Blount and Valencia Lewis, he was born on Wednesday, July 24, 1991 in Orange Park. He was educated in the Clay County School District and was a 2009 graduate of Clay High School. In 2012, he graduated Pine Knot Job Corps. He was employed with Food Lion Warehouse. "Meach" enjoyed fixing cars, rapping, and drawing.

Demetri was preceded in eternal rest by his maternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Edna Lewis, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mary and Amos Blount.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Valencia Lewis; father, Freddie Blount, Sr.; children, Demetria Blount, Chyna Blount, Messiah Blount; girlfriend, Ieasha Mitchell; brothers, TaRonn Flowers, Freddie Blount, Jr., Deandre (Octavia) Flowers, Ronald W. Flowers, Jr.; sisters, Shawntrisse Blount, Ronnesha Flowers, Ashia Blount, Rodteice Blount, Fermekka Blount; a host of aunts and uncles, including special aunts, Glenda Denise Lee and Grace Blount, special uncle, Lorenzo Blount; godmother, Elizabeth Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a limited, socially-distanced visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. – 12 noon with Celebration of Life Demetri's commencing at 12 noon, Tuesday, July 28, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Green Cove Springs. Reverend Robert L. Wright, Pastor is the eulogist.
