David Eugene Williams, Jr, 45, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, April 10, 2026 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka.
David Eugene Williams, Jr. was born on Sunday, August 17, 1980 to David Eugene Williams, Sr. and Doris Matthews in Palatka. After formative years of education in Putnam County, he earned his General Education Diploma. David was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed singing, rapping, making beats, cooking and playing basketball. He was affectionately known as “Big Dime”. For the past 3 years, David was employed by Georgia Pacific in Palatka.
David was preceded in eternal rest by maternal grandparents, Richard G. Matthews and Sally Mae McNeal; paternal grandparents, John J. Williams and Helen C. Williams; aunts and uncles, Henry McNeal, Jr., Rosa Mae McNeal, Willie Lee McNeal, Elizabeth McNeal, Viola McNeal, Ernest McNeal, Geraldine Y. Williams-Haith, Arthur A. Williams, Johnnie Mae Williams-Edwards, Evelyn L. Williams-Tindall, Jacqueline A. Williams and Barbara K. Williams.

Visitation of family and friends will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 8, at Flagg’s Chapel of Serenity. A Celebration of David’s Life will commence at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 9, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave, Palatka. Pastor Marquise Johnson, Holy Word Revival Center, Palatka, is the eulogist. Interment to follow in Old San Mateo Cemetery, San Mateo.
