David Joseph Brannon was born on Tuesday, December 28, 1948 to David James Brannon and Winifred Bain Brannon in Wilmington, Delaware. Before relocating to Florida, David resided in Lewes, Delaware for a number of years. He was of the Catholic faith.

After completing high school, David enlisted in the US Navy. He served on the USS Francis Marion from January 1968 - December 1971. As a civilian, David became a plant operator for Sussex County Delaware and retired after years of dedicated service.

During his leisure time, David was an avid fisherman and crabber. This skilled sportsman became a charter boat captain. Hunting and playing pool were also among David’s most preferred recreational activities.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in eternal rest by his sister, Joyce Brannon.

David entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at HCA Florida Putnam in Palatka.

Cherished memories of David remain with his wife, Lynn Brannon; daughters, Jennifer R. (David) McKathan and Kelly M. (Wesley) Scifres; four grandchildren, Landon McKathan, Miles McKathan, Jacob Scifres, Caleb Scifres along with extended family and friends.
