Darius Delvon Giddens, 21, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Darius was born on Tuesday, June 6, 1989 to Harriett Suzette Johnson and Darren Eugene Giddens in Daytona Beach. Darius was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Espanola. He was educated in the Flagler County School District (Flagler- Palm Coast High School). He often assisted his aunt Angela in providing landscaping services with Miracle Lawn Care and Tree Service. Darius was a Mommas Boy who enjoyed music, was passionate about playing basketball and was an avid Florida Gators fan. He was preceded in eternal rest by paternal grandparents; Roger Watson and Lillian Watson. He leaves to cherish his memories: beloved son; Kaleb Giddens, Daytona Beach; devoted mother, Harriett S. (Ernest) Johnson-Hall, Palm Coast; father, Darren Eugene (Deloris Jones) Giddens, Espanola; sisters, Destiny Nelson, Keasia Hall, both of Palm Coast; LoshsheAundra Giddens, Bunnell; ChyKori Giddens, Ft. Lauderdale; brothers, Wiley Jones, Darren Giddens Jr., Eric Giddens, and Trevon Giddens, all of Espanola; maternal grandparents, Edith Adams Johnson, Harry Johnson Jr., Bunnell; paternal grandparents, Mary Jane Giddens (Benny) Jones, Espanola; special friend, Roberia Stewart, Daytona Beach; god-brother, Shamaine Williams, Daytona Beach; and a host of aunts and uncles; devoted aunt, Lewanna (Arthur) Johnson-Smith, Palm Coast; countless special cousins and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 503 South Church Street, Bunnell, FL, Elder Willie L. Durden, Sr., Pastor. Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell, Florida, Rev. Ron Moore, Pastor. Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, Sr., pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Espanola, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.
