Dantonia Tavares "Varus" Williams, 39, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Palatka as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on SR 216. A native of Palatka, he was the son of Hattie Mae "Sugar Ma" Williams, born on Wednesday, June 20, 1979. He was educated in the Putnam County School District at Palatka High School. He was a masonry laborer with Jim Gilmore Construction and was a member of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his sons, daughters, and god daughter. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in eternal rest by his grandparents , Jimmie Lee and Nola (Perry) Williams; brother , Antonio Williams; aunt , Janice Williams; and uncles , Jimmie C. Williams and Larry Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Tabitha Williams; sons, Dantonia Williams, Jr. and Deontae Williams, all of Palatka; daughters, Tavaria Williams, Keira Daniels (Jamarcus Anderson, Sr.); grandson, Jamarcus Anderson, Jr.; sisters, Keashia (Chavarro) Thomas, Adrianne (Timothy) Gibbs; special father, Elvis Clark; mother-in-law, Anita Chavis; sister-in-law, Demetria Brooks; goddaughter, Camille Baskin, all of Palatka; god-brother, SFC Tyjuan Green, US Army, Ft. Riley, KS; devoted aunts and uncles , John L and Sharon Williams, Dorothy Esau, Cathy Lee, Ester Wright, Permelia (David) Green and Vernesia (Curley) Gilmore all of Palatka; Great aunt Lois Purdy; great uncles , Simuel (Mary) Williams, Sumter, SC, Robert James, San Francisco, CA., "like a father," Jimmie Gilmore, Sr., like brothers, Jimmie, Jr., Curley, and Reggie Gilmore; and a host of other caring relatives and friends.
