Daniel Richard Hughes, 71, of Satsuma, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his residence. The son of Frederick Charles Hughes and Florence Wilma Hathaway, he was born on Monday, March 26, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Danny was educated in the Fort Wayne Indiana School District and was a 1969 high school graduate. He furthered his education at a Community College in Jacksonville. He was of the Catholic faith. His military service included duties in the Army Security Agency from 1969-1971. Danny enjoyed playing pool, volleyball, and tennis, reading and being outdoors. He was also a history buff.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Larry Hughes, Robert Hughes; sister, Karen Hughes; granddaughters, Diana Lawendowki and Delilah Baldwin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Linda Joy Hughes; children , Lorien Hughes, Linda Ann (Rodney) McCrickard, David Allen Figge, Brandy Michelle (Benjamin) Delashmutt; grandchildren , Jessica, Andrew, Amber Marie, Robert, Victoria, Elizabeth, Alex, Gabriel, Jared, Alyson, Katie, Andrew, Jr., Isabella, Maxwell, Tina; brothers-in-law , Curtis Carlton, Harry Joy, Charles Joy; sister , Erin Colleen Hughes; sister-in-law , Gail Joy; extended family , Stacey Lewis, Ron Bradshaw, Gage Brown, Savannah Blackwelder, other relatives and close friends.
