Daniel Reyes Castro, 94, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. He was born on July 21, 1928 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to Triburcio Reyes and Marcella Castro. Daniel relocated to Bronx, New York where he lived for more than 30 years.  He was employed as a groundskeeper at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York.  After moving from New York, Daniel was a resident of East Palatka, Florida for 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny Reyes; goddaughter,  Noemi Lara-Ramon; sisters, Virginia Sojo, Justina Reyes, Maria DeJesus; brothers, Manuel Reyes and Octavia Reyes.

Cherished memories of Daniel will remain with his wife of 60 years, Pura; daughter, Ivette Reyes; son, David (Chiaki) Reyes; daughter in law, Carrie Reyes; granddaughters, Samantha (Ryan) Dunn and Marissa (Tyler) VanOsdell, Ayana Reyes; grandson, Daniel David Reyes; great grandchildren, Alee, Adon and Willow Dunn, Jayden and Mia Gravue and Jaxon VanOsdell; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
