Daisy Lee Coleman Brown, 84, of Green Cove Springs, peacefully entered the sunset of life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at her residence. A native of Monticello, she was the daughter of Jerry Coleman and Zella (Flemming) Coleman, born on Saturday, November 24, 1934. She was educated in the Jefferson County FL School District and Clay County School District at Dunbar High School, Green Cove Springs. Daisy formerly resided in Brooklyn NY. She loved the Lord and was a faithful, longtime Evangelist. She was a former member of St James Church of God in Christ, Green Cove Springs. Daisy absolutely enjoyed being a prayer warrior praying earnestly for others. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch surrounded by a variety of beautiful flowers, taking in nature and simply embracing the outdoors. She spent the bulk of her life caring for others. She especially loved being a caretaker for her parents, siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In additional to her parents, Daisy was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, Eddie Coleman, Aaron Coleman, Charlie Coleman; sisters, Rosa Coleman, Albertha Berryhill.

Those she leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Walter H. (Brenda) Brown, Orange Park; Theodore Brown, Kenneth R. (Lorenda) Brown, Alvin C. Brown, Carlton Frazier, all of Green Cove Springs; daughter, Chanel D. Lockett, Green Cove Springs; brothers, Sammy Coleman, Mack Coleman, Tallahassee; sisters, Emma Garner, Miami; Mannie Coleman, Tallahassee; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 31 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Green Cove Springs. Homegoing Celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 State Road 16, Green Cove Springs, Pastor Ronnie Surrency; her son Minister Alvin Brown, eulogist and Apostle Andrew McGlocking, words of comfort. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs.
