Cynthia Mitchell Hatcher, the daughter of Lee Walter Mitchell and Otrie Mae (Linton) Mitchell, was born on Friday, June 7, 1968 in Palatka. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1986 graduate of Palatka High School. In 1992, Cynthia attained her Bachelor's of Nursing Degree from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee. Cynthia was employed as a Registered Nurse for 34 years, with 25 of those years faithfully serving at Kindred Hospital of North Florida. She was a member of New Bethel A.M.E. Church, San Mateo. Cynthia was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Zeta Mu Zeta Chapter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her sisters, Dietrich Mitchell, Antionette Mitchell; brother, Henry Mitchell; niece, Latosha Simmons.

She entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at her East Palatka residence surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: special friend, Micah Hatcher; devoted daughter, Jessica (Qurhon) Young; 2 grandchildren, Peyton Taylor, Khalil Young; 2 brothers, Dexter (Stacey) Mitchell, Henry (Patricia) Mitchell; 3 sisters, Renaye (Bernard) Linton, Hilda Mitchell, Coretta Mitchell; aunts, Alene Thompson; godchildren, Isaiah Mitchell, Forever Amoura; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, December 12 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 13 at New Bethel A.M.E. Church, 154 N. Boundary Road, San Mateo, Reverend Charletta C. Robinson, Pastor. Reverend Sandra I. Gilyard, St. James A.M.E. Church, Welaka, is the eulogist.
