IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Courtney Earl
Marshall
December 19, 1947 – April 17, 2025
Courtney Earl Marshall, 77, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his residence.
Courtney Earl Marshall's journey began in Jamaica, where he developed a love for life that was infectious. From an early age, he was known for his playful antics, often pulling pranks on his siblings that would incite laughter and create lasting memories. This lightheartedness found its way into his interactions with family and friends, creating an atmosphere of happiness wherever he went.
Courtney's dedication to his country was evident in his service with the Jamaica Defense Force. His military career was marked by a commitment to duty and honor, qualities that he carried throughout his life. Serving in the military not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a sense of discipline and responsibility. His experiences as a soldier enriched his perspective on life. After dedicating himself as a soldier in the Jamaica Defense Force, Courtney carried the values of courage and integrity with him throughout his life. His commitment to serving others was evident not only in his military career but also in the way he involved himself in his community and church. As an usher at his home church - Mt. Calvary, he welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness, and his beautiful voice soared as he sang in the church choir, touching the hearts of those around him.
Although life presented many challenges, Courtney was a devoted family man. His love for his wife, Delores, was evident in the way he cherished and supported her through all of life's ups and downs. As Courtney matured in life and in his faith, he strived to be a friend and mentor to his children and grandchildren.
Courtney was a gifted cook, particularly known for his mastery of Jamaican cuisine. His jerk pork, in particular, became a staple at family gatherings. The scents and flavors he brought to the table were more than just food; they were a tradition and a means of gathering loved ones together. These meals were opportunities for connection, laughter, and sharing stories, creating bonds that would last a lifetime.
Courtney was a source of joy for everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His ability to bring people together, to lift spirits through humor, and to inspire with simple words are examples of his legacy that will continue to resonate. He taught his family that life is a beautiful journey filled with opportunities to love, connect, and support one another.
Courtney's children carry forward his values, spreading kindness and laughter just as he did. They embody his lessons about hard work, faith, and the importance of family. His memory will live on through their stories, their laughter, and their continued dedication to nurturing the bonds that he held dear.
Although far from perfect but touched by the grace of God, Courtney Earl Marshall's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and service. The family proudly honors his memory by embracing the values he lived by: love for family, commitment to community, and the joy of sharing time together. Courtney's life will be a reminder of life's beauty and a reminder of the importance of cherishing one another.
