Cora Lee Jones, 82, of Bunnell, peacefully transitioned on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at AdventHealth, Palm Coast. The daughter of Rufus Lee, (Eva Lee Lattimore) Steward, Sr., she was a native of Bimini, FL., and was a 1954 graduate of George Washington Carver High School, Bunnell. Cora was a domestic and farm worker for many years and concluded her career as a Custodian/ Attendance Clerk in the Flagler County School District, retiring after 15 years of employment. She attended Florida Normal (Memorial) College in St. Augustine. She met and married Roosevelt Jones in 1955 and they were united in marriage for 55 years and became proud parents of 8 children. She was a member of the Christian Complex of Bunnell. Cora was a devoted mother who put God first in her life and was inspired and passionate about her family. In addition to her parents and husband, Cora was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Laronzo Jones; daughter, Pamela Jones; brothers, Leon, Rufus, Jr., and Roosevelt Steward; sisters, Bertha Hall and Agnus Butler.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories: sons and daughters, Jackie (George) Allen, LaRicky (Norma) Jones, Michael Jones, Larry (Michelle) Jones, Portia Hubbert, Roosevelt Mark (Rhonda) Jones; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Menora Steward; and a host of other relatives and friends.
