Conious Walter Hutcherson, 58, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 12th at his residence. Conious Walter "Tube" Hutcherson was born on Wednesday, September 22, 1953 to Henry & Lucy (Fields) Hutcherson, Sr., in Palatka, Florida and was a lifelong resident. During his early years, he was baptized at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church. He was educated in the Putnam County School District (9-11 grades, Central Academy) and a 1971 graduate of Palatka South High School. Conious was honored to share his maternal great-grandfather, Walter Green's name. His mother affectionately called him "Bug." "Conious Posse" referred to him over the years as "War" - "Knock-a-me-chee" - "Bad Bladder" - "Sexy" - "Bad Company" and "Groove Tube." Following graduation, Conious was employed for over a decade by the former Hudson Pulp & Paper Mill (Now Georgia Pacific) as a Digester Operator. He was a longtime mechanical employee at Laibl's Tire King until declined health prevailed in October 2011. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed various genres of music, loved to laugh and stayed current with the financial market world-wide business news. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Henry "Honeycat" Hutcherson, Sr., paternal grandparents, Joshua and Sylvan Hutcherson, Sr., maternal grandparents, Mabel Livingston and Ludrick Fields. Visitation of family and friends will be from 5 - 8 pm Friday, March 15th at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 4:30 pm Saturday, March 16th at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Rev. Karl N. Flagg, pastor, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in the family's plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Palatka.
