Obituary

Reverend Clinton Rayburn, the son of Clarence Raybon and Annie Mae (Sullen) Raybon, was born on Thursday, June 19, 1952. He was educated in the Bullock County School System and a 1971 graduate of Union Springs High School, Union Springs, Alabama. Following his graduation, he was employed with McGregor Textile Company. In 1975, Rayburn relocated to Putnam County and commenced a new employment venture with DSI Forms, Inc. as a Journeyman Pressman retiring after 36 years of loyal service in 2011. In 1977, the Rayburn family joined him in Palatka. Clinton was a longtime part time employee within the McDonald's corporation, promoted from maintenance to management. Culinary expertise was displayed when Rayburn worked as a chef at Golden Corral. An appreciation for vehicles having showroom appearances led him to begin an automobile detailing & window tinting company. He was an avid car enthusiast and motorcyclist. In 2002, he launched Professional Touch Lawn Care to enhance the curb appeal of homes in the area. For almost 8 years, Rayburn was employed as a postal service contractor with the United States Postal Service.

For over 48 years, Rayburn faithfully served in numerous church leadership roles and ministry assignments at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church including Deacon (past Chairman), Minister, Assistant Pastor, Trustee (past Chairman), Sunday School Teacher/ Superintendent, Ministers' Council Chairman, and Pastor's Armor Bearer as well as a member of the Men's, Food Service, Transportation, and Security
Ministries.

His works speak for him and will follow him forevermore. Rayburn is well recognized and respected for his contagious smile, kindred heart and common courtesy. He never encountered a stranger. Whatever and whenever he made up his mind to achieve, he made it happen. He worked diligently to complete all assignments with great joy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his wife, Annie Juriel Rodgers Rayburn; daughter, Kimberla Pickett; sister, Annie Smith; brother, Johnnie Rayborn.

Reverend Clinton Rayburn answered the Lord's call to eternal rest from his earthly labors on Wednesday morning, February 8, 2023 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital, Palatka.

He leaves to cherish his legacy of love: daughters & son, Freda (Everick) Still, Adrienne (Adama) Diallo, Lakeshia Rayburn, Clinton Tyrone (Esther) Rayburn, II, Brenda Gadson; grandchildren, Clinton Tyrone "Tyson" Rayburn, III, Marlon Williams, Chance Rayburn, Adama Diallo, Jr., Choyce Rayburn, Fatim Diallo, Kaylan Gadson, Shi'Keriya Brooks, Ontarriyus Reid, Kymberana Pickett, Kalona Pickett; great-grandson, Napoleon Alston, III; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Pickett; brothers, Jerald (Lisa) Rayborn, Curtis (Leocia) Rayborn, Larry (Audrey) Rayborn, Eddie (Madelyn) Rayborn, Dennis Rayborn, Kennedy (Chelsey) Rayborn, Reverend Marvin (Chiffon) Rayborn, Roosevelt (Carlene) Rayborn, Robert (Charmaine) Rayborn; sisters, Mary Ann Rayborn, Barbara Dorsey; sisters-in-law, Martha Jackson, Marinda Rodgers; brother-in-law, Ray (Burnetta) Rodgers; goddaughter, Karla (Pastor Jarvis) Flagg-Wright; and a host of other relatives, church family, and community friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 3- 5 p.m., Saturday, February 18 at Mt. Tabor. A Call to Worship God and Celebration of Rayburn's Life & Legacy will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February19, 2023 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 Saint Johns Avenue, Palatka, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
