Clifton Bernard Smiley, 41, of St Augustine (Elwood Community), entered the sunset of life on Thursday, September 20, 2018. The son of Alvin Smiley, Sr. and Debbie Felton Smiley, he was a native of St. Augustine, born on Saturday, September 25, 1976. He was educated in the St. Johns County School District at Allen D. Nease Senior High School. Clifton was employed as a lawn and landscape technician and was a heavy equipment operator. His hobbies included hunting and he was an avid football fan. He was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Alvin Eugene Smiley, Jr., on January 8, 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Debbie Smiley, Jacksonville; father, Alvin Smiley, Sr., Elwood; son, Branden Smiley, Jacksonville; sisters, Latoya (Antonio) Woods, Jacksonville; Dyneco (George) Kittles, Atlanta, GA; brother, Robbie Smiley, Dayton, Ohio; and a host of aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 29 at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 SR 16 W, Green Cove Springs, FL, with visitation 9-10 a.m. Reverend James M. Sams, Pastor of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, St. Augustine, officiating.
