Cleveland Eubanks, 56, of Jacksonville, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. A native of Interlachen, he was the son of Samuel and Evelyn Eubanks, born on Tuesday, September 8, 1964. Cleveland was educated in the Putnam County School District and was a graduate of Interlachen High School. Cleveland was a member of The New Life Church at Jacksonville and served as his pastor's Armor-bearer. He was a career truck driver originally employed by his father at Eubanks & Sons Trucking Company of Interlachen for 32 years. He subsequently pursued his vision of entrepreneurship and became the owner/operator of Green Hornet Transportation. He enjoyed family gatherings, and he also loved to grill and fish. When communicating on his CB radio, he was well-known by his handle, "Jolly Green Giant."
In addition to his father, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Larry Eubanks and Sammie Lee Eubanks.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Tracy L. Eubanks; mother , Evelyn Smith Eubanks; sons and daughters, Cleveland J. Eubanks, Jade D. Eubanks, Jasmine Wills, Qusha Brown, Joshua Hayward, Jatavius Hayward, Jolawna Eubanks, Richard Wilson, Bryan Wilson; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Elder Samuel R. (Katrina) Eubanks, Tampa; Rev. Charles P. Eubanks, Interlachen; sister, Teresa (Anthony) Edwards, Interlachen; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
In full compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines, a limited, socially-distanced (masks required) visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, November 20 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Cleveland's Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 21 at Living Hope Family Worship Center, 1109 State Road 100, Florahome, FL. Bishop Billy White, Sr., pastor, The New Life Church at Jacksonville, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Abilene Cemetery, Putnam Hall.
