Clarence Levi Bunny Burney, 56, of Green Cove Springs (Pier Station Community), entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, April 27, at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL., following a brief illness. Clarence was a native and lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs, born Thursday, September 3, 1953 to Lewis Buddy and Emma (Coleman) Burney. He was a 1971 graduate of Clay High School, Green Cove Springs, where he was an outstanding athlete, playing football and baseball. He was an former employee of Crawford Construction Company. Clarence was a brick mason by trade, and loved to cook. A beloved father to his adorable children, Clarence was affectionately called Bunny Burney and had an unforgettable smile. Bunny always expressed his love for family and friends and would give his very last for anyone. We miss him already and cherish the memories. He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents. Vernon) Cooper, Uriel Burney, and Dr. LaRoyal B. Noble, all of Green Cove Springs; Amos John Kirksey, Palmetto, FL; Alzie (Willa) Kirksey, Cocoa; Juanita Hutchinson, Lake Placid; 10 Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.

The Burney family will assemble for visitation at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 4020 Pier Station Road, Green Cove Springs, FL., Rev. Dr. Abram Marshall, pastor on Saturday, May 1, from 11a.m.- 2 p.m. A Memorial Tribute will commence at 12 noon with The Right Reverend Chris Andrew Burney, of Greater St. Marks Primitive Baptist Church, Tallahassee, officiating.
