Cheryl Lynn (Schmitt) Scott, 58, of Satsuma, Florida, peacefully entered the sunset of life on Friday, March 14, 2025 at her residence.

Cheryl was born on August 8, 1966, in Rothschild, Wisconsin, to parents Daryl and Emily (Goetsch) Schmitt. She graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 1984.

Cheryl had a way of lighting up a room with her humor and making everyone feel at ease. She loved cooking for others, being with friends, and spending time with her grandsons doing many activities such as playing games or going to the beach. She was always up for an adventure. She was fiercely protective and deeply loving toward her family. Cheryl lived in Florida, but her heart was always in Wisconsin, which she visited often; her friends and family cherished these visits. Despite life's challenges, she faced her battles with remarkable strength and resilience.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Scott of Florida; her daughter, Krista Tolliver, and her grandchildren, Mac and Bronson, also of Florida; her brothers, Mark (Jodi) Schmitt of Kronenwetter, Dean (Penny) Schmitt of Stevens Point, and Wayne Schmitt of Rothschild, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on May 17th, 2025, at the Marathon Park Big Kitchen Shelter located at 1201 Steward Ave, Wausau, WI 54401. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service led by Pastor Gail Sowell at 2:00 p.m. A potluck and social celebration will take place after the service concludes. Bring your own refreshments.
