Charles Preston Thompson (nicknamed 'Bojack') was born November 25th 1930 in Kinston, Lenoir County, North Carolina to John William and Hortense Phillips Thompson. He attended and graduated from Atkins High school and also attended Morris Brown College. Charles was a proud member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast, FL under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Edwin Coffie.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Charles and Jeffrey Thompson and daughter Evelyn Barrack, two children he helped raise Cory and Malissa who called him 'Daddy Charles'; 7 grand children; 5 great grand children; sister-in-law, Sybrnee Thompson; two nephews and his devoted ex-wife.

His 4 siblings: Catherine, John, Paul Frederick and Robert Luis, all preceded him in eternal rest.
