Charles Edward Anderson, Sr., 56, Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, March 5, 2012, at his residence following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, he was born on Friday, October 14, 1955. In his early years, he attended Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. Charles was a 1974 graduate of Palatka Central High School. He enjoyed listening to music, telling stories especially about his life experiences, and riding his bicycle all over town. Charles was preceded in eternal rest by his mother, Myrtle Anderson; maternal grandmother, Margaret D. Anderson; paternal grandparents; maternal aunts, Juanita Jackson and Betty J. Anderson. To cherish his memories, daughter, Danielle Brown; son, Charles Edward Anderson, Jr., both of Palatka; father, William Nealy, Sr., Palatka; brothers and sisters, William Nealy, Jr.; Alvin Nealy, both of Palatka; Gladys Nealy, Killeen, TX; Sherry Ann Nealy, Tampa; "1st cousins raised as brothers and sisters" Betty R. McCracken, Brenda J. Anderson, Mark L. Rayne, Hope N. (Von) Dixon, all of Palatka, Carmen D. Rayne, St. Augustine, Bobby Lorenzo Rayne, New Brunswick, NJ, Michael T. (Kristanya) Rayne, Tampa, Robert Rayne, Jr., Daytona Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends especially Trinia Johnson, Henry Davis, and Chris Staten. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 9 at the "Chapel of Serenity". Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10th at the "Chapel of Serenity". Elder Alonzo Mulberry, pastor of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ, Palatka, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka.
