Charlene LaShonda "Shai" Passmore, 42, native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Putnam Community Medical Center. The daughter of Deacon Robert Lewis Passmore, Jr., and Mary "Evelyn" Roberts Passmore, she was born on Saturday, January 1, 1977. Charlene was a 1996 graduate of Palatka High School. She was employed with Sequel Youth & Family Services, St. Augustine as a Director of Case Management. She was a faithful member of the Palatka Church of God by Faith, where she served as praise & worship leader, youth leader, and choir member. She also sang in the COGBF National Choir. Charlene enjoyed singing and spending time with her daughters.
In addition to her father, Charlene was preceded in eternal rest by her paternal grandparents, Robert Lewis (Edna Mae) Passmore, Sr., maternal grandparents, Wesley (Louise) Roberts, Sr. and sister, Valerie Elaine Passmore.
She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted mother, Evelyn Passmore, Palatka; 5 loving daughters, Dequies Passmore, Deneriya Greene, Demonie Greene, Diamond Greene, and Brianna Greene; siblings, Laverne Passmore, Robert L. Passmore, III, LaKeshia Passmore, Kavin Dewan Passmore, Santana Passmore, Gloria Simmons, Tina Roberts, Barbara Colson, Cheran (Terry) White, Patricia Colson, Samuel (Bertha) Passmore, Ronnie (Angela) Passmore, Kenneth (Jamica) Passmore, Timothy (Glo) Passmore, Cynthia Brown, Anita (John) McCullough, Emma Brown, Tiffany (Arthur) Coley, Troy Reaves; aunts, Mamie Clark, Loretta (William "Bubba") Hardy, Christine Clark; uncles, Wesley (Patricia) Roberts, Jr., Pastor Herman (Pamela) Roberts, Freddie (Melissa) Roberts, Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, October 4 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 3 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at Palatka Church of God by Faith, 1511 Washington Street, Superintendent Phillip Thomas, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
