Obituary

Chad Michael Dzerve, 50, of Saint Johns, FL, was a native of Anderson, Indiana, born on Monday, December 21, 1970. He transcended to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Chad was educated in the Madison County Indiana School District and attended Washington and Robinson Elementary Schools, Southside Junior High and Madison Heights (a Pirate for life) High School. In 2006, he earned his undergraduate's degree from Anderson University.

Chad was a member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene, Anderson, IN and was a participant among the church members who helped construct the present church facility.  He was was a faithful servant of God and a loving, devoted father with a huge heart. Chad was an avid Volleyball and Softball player and actively participated in numerous City and Church leagues. He was also a trivia playing, die hard Chicago Cubs fan!!

Chad's career was in sales management and he also served as Vice President of the UAW #662 during the era of acquisitions and multiple plant closings for Delco Remy International/Delphi Corporation, a Division of General Motors. Chad was an advocate for fairness!! He most recently served as a Sales Director for Burkhardt Distribution in St Augustine, FL.

God truly blessed Chad's family through their relationships with him and also because of his enormous heart for helping others.  He was helpful and caring to everyone he encountered. He gave of his time, talent, and treasure if or when someone else presented themselves with an unfulfilled need. Chad will be missed because of the way he made all of his family members feel when gathering.  (He made us smile and laugh more times than we will ever be able to count!) His wisdom, wit and intellect will be equally missed. (Who do we call now to get advice or get something fixed????) He will always be remembered and treasured as a great father, family man and friend.

He was preceded in eternal rest by his beloved grand parents, Cecil and Sarah Duncan. Those who cherished Chad and miss him the most: daughters, Ryleigh and Lilly (and their mother Tiffany.); mother, Lillian Anker; brother, Scott Shimer (Scott's wife, Cindy); and a host of other relatives and amazing friends he cherished!
