Cedric Corke, 97, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at AdventHealth Stuart F. Meyer Hospice Care Center, Palm Coast. A native of Sangre Grande, Trinidad, he was born on September 20, 1924 to Agatha Charles. He was educated in Sangre Grande. On May 5, 1969, Cedric moved to Brooklyn, New York with his first wife, Fanny, who preceded him in eternal rest.

In 1974, he met the love of his life Florence and the two became one in 1984 until she passed in October 2020. The two lived in Brooklyn, New York until he retired from TWA in 1990. During their retirement they traveled the world to many places such as Paris and Egypt where they rode camels. In 1990 the Corke's relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. Cedric enjoyed fishing, gardening, and entertaining his friends until his health declined in 2016. Cedric especially loved spending time with his family.

Cedric was preceded in eternal rest by his wife Florence; son, Steve Corke; brother, Victor Noel; son-in-law, Michael Brothers; daughter-in-law, Shelia Heyward.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters and sons, Mattie (Jose) Heyward, Lurline Brothers, Corotha Heyward Jr., Larry (Julie) Campbell; 10 grandchildren, Mary, Slyvester, Conzuella, Daniel, Tekeshia (Larry), Antwan (Whitney), Travis (Shatavia), Kimariah, Nicolette, Alana; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kristopher, Kaitlyn, Faith, Travis Jr., Avianni, Antwan Jr, Zuri, Kamora, Micah, Sariahgwen, S'andre, Desire, Jerimiah, Miracle, Kyndra, Romunte, Jhonte, Davonte; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a socially-distanced Celebration of Life will be held graveside at 1 p.m., Monday, October 11 at St. Augustine Memorial Park, 2600 Old Moultrie Road, St. Augustine. Reverend Derek Jackson, officiating.
