Cecilia Epps Hardy, 61, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The daughter of Albert Washington "A.W." Epps, Jr., and Johnnie Mae Herlong Epps, she was a native of Orlando, born on Friday, July 27, 1956. Cecilia was educated in the Orange County School District and was a 1974 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Orlando. She subsequently majored in Accounting at Texas Southern University. Cecilia was a dedicated member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando. On October 23, 2002, she united in Holy Matrimony to Noah Hardy of Crescent City. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, neice, aunt, godmother and friend. She would always go out of her way to help anyone in need. She was a great cook and made the best macaroni & cheese, and seafood for her family and friends. Cecilia was our rock, the super glue that held the family together.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Alfred Epps; sisters, Sandra Turner, Betty McCree; like a father, Robert Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 15 years, Noah Hardy, Crescent City; daughters, LaShonda (Dwight) Sanders-Burnam, Tracie Uba, Orlando; sons, Brandon Eggleston, Orlando; Charles Smith, Savannah; brother, Norris Epps, Sr., Orlando; sisters, Sandra (Frank) Grey, Katie (Leroy) Bostick, Linda (Kenny) Bruce, Thadine Leonard, all of Orlando; Regina Butler, Houston, TX.; 2 grandsons, Brandon Eggleston II, Charlotte, NC, Elijah Smith, Jacksonville; 7 granddaughters, Brianna Sanders, Celina Eggleston, both of Orlando; Tiara Clark, Gainesville; Chanel Davis, Tatyanna Smith, both of Jacksonville; Alexandria Smith, Alandria Smith, both of Savannah, GA; like a mother, Susie Perry, Orlando; aunt, Alice Mae (Lester) Epps James, Palatka; sister-in-law, Rosetta Vargas, Lakeland; nieces, LaToya Epps, Lakeland; Sandretta Shields, Houston, TX; nephews, Efrain Epps, Houston, TX; Norris Epps, Jr., Paul Epps, both of Orlando; and a host of cousins, godchildren and friends.
