Missionary Catherine B. Daniels, 68, a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine. The daughter of Dan and Annie B. Brinson, II, she was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1949. She was educated in the Putnam County School District (Central Academy High School). Catherine was a faithful member of First Born Church of the Living God, where she served as a missionary, musician, and sang in the choir. She was a seasonal worker and a former childcare provider. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Willie James Beauford; daughter, Juanita Louise Bennett; sisters, Louise Campbell, Francis Varner, Linda Mack, Sharon Harrell; brothers, Sylvester Brinson, Sr., Lamar Brinson and Richard Brinson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: sons and daughter, Lawrence Sharp, Regena Daniels, both of Palatka; Johnny (Stephanie) Daniels, Palm Coast; brothers, Dan (Angela) Brinson, III, Larry (Stephanie) Brinson, Sr., Tim Brinson, Sr., Joseph (Barbara) Brinson; sisters, Claudia Johnson, Betty Coley, Beverly (Sherman) Canty, Anna (Lynnwood) Alridge, all of Palatka; special daughters, Kathleen Bennett, Teresa (Robbie) Charles, Trina (Ronald) Young, Tomeka (Clarence) Peeples, Marquita (Julian) Carter; aunt, Lucille Madry; godchildren, Vontrece Johnson, Theodore "Teddy" Brown, Zerwick Woods, and Corlis Tomblin; a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at First Born Church of the Living God, 1708 Madison Street, Palatka, Bishop W. L. Smith, Sr., Pastor. Elder James Matthews, Pastor of Passionate Worship Center, Palatka, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka.
