Carrie Louise Wiggins "Baby Sis" Weeks, 75, of Miami, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at University of Miami Hospital. A native of Palatka, she was born on Monday, July 26, 1937, to William Leroy and Lula Mae Wiggins. During her childhood years, she was baptized at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church and was educated in the Putnam County School District. She was a 1955 graduate of Central Academy High School and subsequently enrolled in Florida Memorial College of St. Augustine (now Miami). In 1970, she met and married Allen Weeks, her soulmate for over 42 years. Carrie was employed as a cafeteria cook in the Miami-Dade Public School District for 31 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church, Miami since June 7, 1998. In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in eternal rest by her siblings, Lillian Jones, Wynester Burke, Eddie Lee Wiggins and Lutrell Wiggins; adopted sister, Ruth Baron. To cherish her memories: devoted husband, Allen Weeks, Miami; son, Ricky (Diane) Wiggins; daughter, Nicole Weeks, Miami; stepdaughter, Angela Hall; sisters, Betty Wiggins, and Lezona Miller, both of Palatka; brothers, Frank Wiggins, Wyndell Wiggins, and Norris (Norma) Wiggins; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of adopted children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends. Homegoing celebration will be 12, noon, Saturday, March 30, at New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church, Miami, Elder Kenneth A. Duke, pastor, officiating.
