Carolyn Ann Brown, 64, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. A native of Palatka, she was the daughter of James Phillip Brown, Sr. and Irene Thomas Brown, born on Thursday, November 24, 1955. She was educated in the Putnam County School District at Palatka Central High School. In her early years, she was a member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Palatka. She was formerly employed by the Ponderosa Restaurant. Carolyn's hobbies included gardening, needle pointing, and shopping. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her maternal grandparents , William and Carrie Lee Thomas; paternal grandparents , Jim and Mattie Brown; sister , Mattie Lundy; brothers-in-law , Willie Archie, Theodore Nicholson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Ingrid (TyRone) Brown-Williams, Carolyn "Noonie" (Darrell) Brown; grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Marshell Williams, Marcia Williams, Ka'liah Brown, Fareed Smith; 6 great-grandchildren, Demareon Hall, Jocayla Peeples, Jocari Peeples, A'Nyla Chestnut, Kaveli Jones, Havali Jones; brothers, Tim (Eufaula) Brown, Phillip (Jacqueline) Brown, Jr. Ulysees (Sylvia) Brown, Wilfred (Eugina) Brown, Sylvester Brown, Edward Johns, Lonnie Johns; sisters, Bernice Archie, Sherry Brown, Dorothy (Ralph) Dallas, Lenette (Dennis) Grabowski, Merceda Nicholson, Priscilla (Steve) Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including : Christine Clark, Dorothy Rogers, and Katherine Oxendine .
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a socially-distanced visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday, November 6 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 7 at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 624 N 9 th Street, Palatka, Elder Earl R. Matthews, Senior Pastor, officiating. Pastor Sharon Archie, Co-Pastor, First Assembly Faith Fellowship, Inc., Gainesville, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, 690 Old San Mateo Road, San Mateo.
