Carolyn Boykin, 66, of St. Augustine entered eternal rest on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Flagler Hospital. A native of St. Augustine, she was born on Thursday, July 18, 1946 to James L. & Mary (Tomlinson) Boykin. She was a 1964 graduate of Richard J. Murray High School. A resident of New Brunswick, NJ, she was employed as a Middlesex County Clerk of Courts for 20 years, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed reading, watching television and spending time with family. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, James Bristol, James L. Boykin, Jr., Willie P. Boykin, Fredrick E. Boykin, sisters, Eve Thomas and Doris Shorty. Those who cherish her loving memories: son, Juan Boykin, New Brunswick, NJ; brother, Roger Boykin; sisters, Eula M. Leach; Mary Lou "Baby sister" Boykin, all of St. Augustine; 2 granddaughters; 3 great-granddaughters; special cousin, Erline Spicer, New Brunswick, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 and Celebration of Life: 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 94 Evergreen Avenue, St. Augustine, FL., Rev. J.C. Sams, host pastor.
