Carlton Duane King, III, 29, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Friday, March 7th unexpectedly at his Crescent City residence. Carlton, son to Carlton D. King Jr. & Cheryl Y. Givens, was born December 14, 1978 in Jacksonville, FL. He was formerly employed by various fast food restaurant chains. He attended Palatka High School (class of 97). Carlton displayed his gift of writing poetry. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Tammy King, Columbus, GA; children; Auprentice D. King, Ayantre D. King, Ricky D. King, Aaliyah D. King, Tamya A. King, all of Columbus, GA; parents, Carlton D. King Jr., Cheryl (Donald) Williams, Green Cove Springs; sisters, Cheryl King, Tallahassee, Darnesia Williams, Donna Williams, Green Cove Springs; brothers: Christopher King, Green Cove Springs, Rashaad King, Lake City, FL., Curtis D. King, Ohio; Grandparents: David Lee(Susie) Givens, Green Cove Springs, Perman (Sarah) Eubanks, Palatka, Daniel (Blanche) Woods, Palatka, Carlton D. (Trish) King, Sr., Detroit, MI; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Visitation of Family & Friends will be Friday, March 14th from 5-8PM at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, March 15th, 2 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 719 Reid St. Palatka, Reverend James McGriff, pastor. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
