IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brendalyn L.
Harris
June 25, 1956 – December 25, 2020
Brendalyn Lennett Nealy Harris, 64, of Palatka, peacefully transitioned on Friday, Christmas Day, December 25, 2020 (also her mother's birthday) at Central Florida Regional Hospital, Sanford. The daughter of Ola Bell (Nealy) Junior and Isaiah Oliver, Brendalyn was born on Monday, June 25, 1956. "Brenda" as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Putnam County School District at Palatka Central High School. In 1995, Brenda relocated to Orlando, and was employed as a dietary aide at a Winter Park nursing facility. In 2009, she returned to Palatka. She was a former member of New Saint Paul Church, Seville.
Brenda was the life of the party, a very strong woman and a fighter who loved her family and was often called because her family knew she would stand up for them. She was very amusing and would easily give you a piece of her mind while simultaneously sharing words of wisdom. She was an avid shopper who was obsessed with HSN and QVC shopping opportunities. Brenda loved to dress up and she owned every imaginable accessory in all colors. She was a very special woman who loved people and feared the Lord. Everyone will forever and always remember her by her giving heart, discerning spirit and her wisdom. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter,
Yevette "Peanut" (Charles) Thomas Edwards;
son,
LaBraun J. Harris;
5 sisters,
Ella Appling Glover, Alveta (Oscar) Williams, Rose Junior, Helen Faye Wright and Sharon (Kenneth, Sr.) Walker;
granddaughter,
Brianna Edwards;
9 nieces & nephews; and many other little ones she specially adopted as her "grand
children" and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation of family and friends will be from 10-11 a.m. with a Celebration of Brenda's Life commencing at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 2, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 322 N 10
