Brandon Thomas, Sr., 40, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital.

Brandon Jermaine Thomas, Sr. was born on Saturday, June 1, 1985 to Samuel, Sr. and Janet (McCoy) Thomas in Palatka, Florida. He was a graduate of the Palatka High School Class of 2005. To expand his vocational skills Brandon studied Electrical Maintenance/Systems at Everest University in Orange Park, FL. He later completed training at National Truck Driving School in Green Cove Springs, FL which prepared him to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Brandon was baptized at the age of 8 and considered Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Palatka to be his church home.

On April 26, 2018, Brandon united in holy matrimony with the former Antonia LaQuanda Brinkley.

Brandon was gainfully employed over the years with various companies including Golden Corral, CDR Warehouse, GP Plywood Mill, Hastings Youth Academy, Hydro Alumnus, Total Transportation of Mississippi, Waste Management and most recently FCC Environmental Services.

Brandon’s favorite forms of recreation included fishing, hunting, spending time with family, playing video games with sons and watching his favorite football team - the Florida State University Seminoles.

Brandon was preceded in eternal rest by his paternal grandparents, Henry & Willie Mae (McCaskill) Thomas; paternal great grandparents, Henry & Louvina (Mathis) McCaskill and Louise Thomas; maternal grandparents, Wilbert & Marion (Myles) McCoy, Ella L. Williams; maternal great grandparents, Elijah Myles, Ella White, Janet McCoy, Hodges & Lucille McCoy; fathers-in-law, Theodore Brinkley and Jasper Smith, Jr.; grandmother-in-law, Claudette Hunter.
