Obituary

Blanche Williams Woods, 80, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 18 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. Blanche was born on Tuesday, March 19, 1929 in Hollister and has been a life long resident of Putnam County. She was a retired migrant worker, employed by Machek Farms & several other farm labor contractors over the years. She was member of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church.

Blanche was preceded in eternal rest by her father, Louis; mother, Willie Williams; son; Jock Tyrone Woods; and brother; Earnest Smith.

To Cherish her memories, devoted Husband of 37yrs, Daniel Woods Sr., Palatka; Daughters, Frances Peaches Williams, Debra (Leroy) Hunter, Catherine Williams, Mae Alice Williams all of Palatka; Alice Mae Williams, Gainesville; Sons, Donald Ray (Cheryl) Williams, Green Cove Springs; Daniel (Margie) Woods Jr., Palatka; Devoted grandson, Virgil Torrance Jr., Palatka; Mother-in-law, Ola Mae Collins, Reidsville, GA., 25 Grandchildren; 33 Great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Visitation of family & friends will be from 5-8 pm, Friday, May 22 at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at Mt Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka. Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Oakhill West Cemetery.
