Bernard Wright, Sr., 66, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. The son of Willie and Louise (McDuffie) Wright, he was a native of Allendale, SC, born on Sunday, May 28, 1950. He was educated in the Allendale County SC School District. Bernard was very industrious and was employed with Bud & Mitchell Henry Logging Company of Bunnell. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Bernard loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, Oregen Wright, and Leroy Wright, sisters, Hattie Lee Jordan and Evelynn Wright.
He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife, Juanita Oxendine Wright, Crescent City; sons and daughters; Bernard (Ieasha) Wright, Jr., Crescent City; Tiffany Wright, Colquitt, GA; Belinda Wright & Bernardick Wright, Athens, GA; step-children, Janice (Robert) Wright, Atlanta, GA; Debra (Robert) Murphy, Patricia (Arthur) Young, Brenda (Deric) Whitmore, all of Deland; Ramona Johnson, Crescent City; brother, Bobby Wright, Allendale, SC; sisters, Evangelist Annie Ruth Wright, Maudell Hicks, both of Allendale, SC; Mary Alice Simmons, Palm Coast; Tressie Lee Brantley, Crescent City; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends, including his best friends, Fred Frank and David Denson, both of Crescent City.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 pm., Friday, May 12 with Homegoing Celebration at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 13 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church – South Putnam Campus, 608 Randolph Street, Crescent City, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor. Reverend Michael Robinson, pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
