Barbara Jean LaDuke Eastman, 76, of Pomona Park, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. A native of Concord, NH, she was born on Wednesday, October 9, 1940 to Roy and Nancy (Brantley) LaDuke. She was educated in the Merrimack County District School in New Hampshire. Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to Clayton Eastman in Chichester, NH. They later relocated to Florida where Barbara was employed as an Activity Director at several nursing homes in the West Palm Beach area. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Her love and passion for animals caused her to be a relief person for many dogs and cats. Barbara hobbies included: traveling, camping, sewing and helping others in any way she could. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Joe Duclos, and sister, Nancy Candage.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband of 60 years, Clayton Eastman, Sr., Pomona Park; children, Deanna Williams, Concord, NH, Clayton (Gloria) Eastman, Jr., West Palm Beach, Robert (Isabel) Eastman, Orlando, Michael (Shelly) Eastman, Mt Etna, IN; 7 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity."
