Barbara Jean Burrell, 76, of Palm Coast, was a native of Jackson, Alabama, born on January 14, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Burrell Sr.  After graduating from Harper High School in Jackson, Barbara relocated to Long Island, New York with her cousin. Relocating to New York helped launch her career in the Health Care Industry. Barbara obtained her certification as a Nursing Assistant and continued in the Healthcare field until she became ill in 2000 at which time she relocated back to Alabama.  In 2009, she relocated to Palm Coast, Florida where she resided with her daughter, Angela Ledbetter. While residing in Jackson she was a member of House of Deliverance and served as a faithful member for over 9 years. During her illness she continued to be a blessing to others by providing home health assistance. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents.

Ms. Burrell entered the sunset of life on Friday January 10, 2020, at Advent Health in Palm Coast, Florida, to be with her Lord and Savior eternally.

Those left to cherish her memories: devoted sons: Timothy Burrell, Malcolm Burrell, and Christopher Burrell, all of New York; beloved daughters: Veronica Burrell, New York; Angela Ledbetter (Preston), Florida; caring brothers: Johnny Burrell Jr., ( Ruthie), Warren Burrell , Clarence Jerry Burrell, Samuel Burrell ( Elizabeth), Jesse Ray Burrell; loving sister: Ethel Thomas, all of Alabama; 10 Grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast, 75 Pine Lakes Parkway South, Palm Coast , Pastor Edwin Coffie, M. Div., officiating.
