CW03 Aubrey Dale Wilson (retired navy veteran), 62, of Middleburg, transitioned on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Jacksonville. A native of Birmingham, AL., he was the son of Ham and Maxine Wilson. He was a member of Zion Star A.M.E. Church, Birmingham. Aubrey was a 1968 graduate of the Jefferson County, AL school district. In 1996, Aubrey retired with 28 years of honorable service from Jacksonville Naval Air Station. He was a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews. To cherish his memories, devoted wife of 42 years, Wilhelmina Hodges Wilson, Middleburg; father, Ham Wilson, Birmingham; siblings, Pastor Kenneth (Jerri) Wilson, Pensacola; Anthony (Lisa) Wilson, Mississippi; Carl (Valerie) Wilson; Gary Wilson; Jackie Simmons, Lila Wilson, all of Birmingham, AL and a host of other relatives. Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 with Homegoing Celebration at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Green Cove Springs, Rev. Robert Wright, Pastor. Overseer Kenneth Wilson, Antioch Apostolic Ministries, is the eulogist. Interment with military honors will be Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
