Arsulia Sue Strozier Jackson, 87, of Orange Park, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Orange Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. The daughter of Estell and Ada Bell Strozier, she was born on Monday, March 14, 1938 in Douglas, Georgia. She moved to Orange Park, Florida in 1959 and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in 1961. As a member, she served as an usher, food committee member, and deaconess. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She loved to cook and bake - especially pound cakes and punch bowl cakes. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her favorite pastime was eating out at Golden Corral with her friends, shopping, and listening to her gospel music. Arsulia was employed at Moosehaven for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, Arsulia was preceded in eternal rest by her children, Linda Sue Jefferson and Nathan L. Simpson; siblings, Leona Crockett, Aretha Strozier, Mary "Mandy" Gaskin, Janie Johnson, Nora Strozier, Emond Strozier, Hubert Strozier, Claudia Strozier, Gurturie Strozier; granddaughter, Angela Jefferson Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Eldge "EG" Jackson; daughter, Brenda (Walter) Simpson Brown; stepchildren, Eldge Jackson, Willie (Shemeka) Jackson, Minister Dorothy (Rodney) Riley, Gwendolyn Santos; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bo) Jones, Symara (Devon) Joseph, Latoya Brown, Varden Blank, Travis (Marie) Brown, Porsha (Leon) Rogers; great grandchildren, Nicallette, Kia, Samuel Paris Thomas, Amber Brown, Kyrie Jenkins, Brandon Jones, Chloe, Noah, Ava Blank, Davon McClendon, KeShawn Daniels; great-great grandchildren, Elijah, Niclales Thomas, Kalani Jenkins, Amelia, Zeke, Sammie Thomas III; godchildren, Jackie (Harrison) Longmire Green, Shantrese Jenkins; special sister-in-law & friend, Betty Watkins; sisters-in-law, Nonie Williams, Dorothy McKeever; special friends, Shirley Ford, Mae Francis Reese; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: 12 noon - 1 p.m.; Celebration of Arsulia's Life will commence at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Mound Street, Orange Park. Dr. C. Edward Preston, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park.
