“God Specializes In Things That Seem Impossible”
Arneitha Bell Session was born on Thursday, November 7, 1946 to Janie Bell and McKinley Byrd in Green Cove Springs, Florida. In 1975, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, and was indeed saved. She enthusiastically began her salvation walker as a sanctified believer filled with the Holy Spirit. She later became a devoted member of Sunshine Holiness Church in Green Cove Springs under the leadership of Bishop John H. Newman. She advanced in leadership and faithfully served as the Assistant Pastor at To God Be the Glory Holiness Church and Bethesda House of Mercy. Her final duties in kingdom service were fulfilled as she served as a member and assistant pastor of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Dr. C. Edward Preston.
Prior to retirement, Rev. Arneitha was employed in the Food and Nutrition Department at Clay Memorial Hospital, Clay County Jail and Penney Farms Retirement Environmental Services.
Her greatest pride and joy was being a devoted wife and loving mother.Arneitha was educated in the Clay County School System and a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. She married the love of her life, John Session Sr., on Wednesday, August 16, 1967 for a span of 59 years. They were blessed with one son and three daughters.
In addition to her parents, Arneitha was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, James Kendrick, Roy Bell, Willie Kendrick, Johnny Bell, John Bell, McKinley Byrd, Curly Byrd, Alphonso Byrd.
Arneitha Jean Session peacefully entered the sunset of life on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Cherished memories remain with her devoted husband, John E. Session, Sr.; son, John E. (Latasha) Session, Jr., Carrollton, GA; three daughters, Arneitha (Jcashmyr) Charleston, Green Cove Springs; Edith Hodges, Jacksonville; Christal Session, Green Cove Springs; brother, Mathew (Norma) Johnson, Durham, NC; sister, Dorothy Brooks, Green Cove Springs; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; god-daughter, LaFarrah and a host of adopted god-children; special friends, Minister Evlyn Littles, Ida Mae Easley and Diane Battles; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
